Matt Hardy kicked out of rehab, arrested again

Posted by Y2JTM on November 19, 2011 at 8:50 AM Comments comments (0)

Former wrestling champ Matt Hardy was kicked out of court-ordered rehab today for failing a breathalyzer test ... this according to multiple sources.

Earlier this year, Hardy was ordered to go to rehab by the court after a string of run-ins with the law.

We're told the staff at the rehab got suspicious of Hardy's behavior on Friday and gave him a breathalyzer test on the spot ... which he failed. According to our sources, Hardy was adamant he wasn't drinking ... and said he only failed because he had "just used mouthwash."

The staff wasn't convinced and gave Hardy the old heave-ho from the facility.

Back in September, the Moore County DA said if Hardy didn't comply with the treatment, he would be put in jail on a million dollar bond. We're told Hardy still had about a month to go before he was through.

11:00PM PT  Hardy was arrested as soon as he got off a plane tonight in Moore County, NC. He was booked (above) at 1:30AM ET for violation of a court order.

Netflix resurrects 'Arrested Development'

The Bluths Are Back and Only on Netflix

Twentieth Century Fox Television and Imagine Television Make Historic Deal With World's Leading Internet Subscription Service to Bring Classic Series "Arrested Development" Back to Production

America's Favorite Dysfunctional Family Returns For All New Episodes Premiering The First Half Of 2013

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Nov. 18, 2011  -- In a landmark deal, all new episodes of the Emmy Award-winning comedy series "Arrested Development" will be coming exclusively to Netflix for its U.S. members to watch instantly, beginning in 2013.

For the first time in their histories, Twentieth Century Fox Television and Imagine Television will produce original first-run entertainment content for the world's leading internet subscription service, bringing back the acclaimed series to production on all new episodes five years after its cancellation.

One of Time Magazine's "100 Best TV Shows of All-TIME," the tale of the formerly wealthy, deeply eccentric Bluth clan aired for three seasons, 2003-2006, on Fox and was honored with the Emmy award for Outstanding Comedy Series after its first season on the air.

"Arrested Development is one of the finest American comedies in TV history and its return through Netflix is a perfect example of how we are working closely with studios and networks to provide consumers with entertainment they love," said Ted Sarandos, Netflix Chief Content Officer.

"It's also a perfect example of how broad and successful our relationship has become with Fox as we work together with their film, television, international and digital divisions on several exciting initiatives," he added.

"Netflix's bold entrance into original programming presents an exciting new opportunity for our two companies" commented Peter Levinsohn, Fox Filmed Entertainment's President of New Media & Digital Distribution. "Bringing a classic show back to production on new episodes exclusively for Netflix customers is a game changer, and illustrates the incredible potential the new digital landscape affords great content providers like Twentieth Century Fox Television and Imagine."

Commented 20th Century Fox TV Chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman, "We build brands at this studio which are so distinctive that audiences still clamor for them years after they go off the air. 'Arrested Development' is a great example of that—it has stood the test of time. This innovative deal with Netflix represents a new business model that is extremely exciting and opens the door for a wide range of new collaborations."

"We also pride ourselves on breaking the rules at this studio, and after bringing back two canceled series – 'Family Guy' and 'Futurama'—to enormous success, we are bullish on the prospects for this brilliant series. We can't wait to get back to work with Mitch, Ron and Brian on bringing the Bluths back to America's living rooms," they added.

Said Imagine Entertainment co-founders Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, "Of all the projects we've been involved with over the years, we probably get more questions about Mitch Hurtwitz's brilliant 'Arrested Development' than any other-- everyone, ourselves included, seems to feel like the Bluths left the party a bit too soon. Bringing a series back from cancellation almost never happens, but then, 'Arrested' always was about as unconventional as they get, so it seems totally appropriate that this show that broke the mold is smashing it to pieces once again."

Added Howard, "After a long hiatus, I'm dying to finally get back to the narrator's microphone...'It's Arrested…Development.'"

The Emmy-winning comedy had its final broadcast on February 10, 2006 and concerned Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman) and his eccentric family comprised of his son George Michael (Michael Cera), his father George Bluth Sr. (Jeffrey Tambor), his mother Lucille (Jessica Walter), his brothers George Oscar Bluth II (Will Arnett), Buster Bluth (Tony Hale) and sister Lindsay Funke (Portia de Rossi), and Lindsay's husband Tobias (David Cross) and their daughter Maeby (Alia Shawkat).

"Arrested Development" is a production of Imagine Television and 20th Century Fox Television. Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Mitch Hurwitz are executive producers.

Mick Foley announced via his twitter that he will be appearing on upcoming episode of the hit NBC sitcom 30 Rock as Mankind. This will be the first time that the hard-core legend has worn the leather mask in about 11 years. Foley also mentioned that he would have a kissing scene with somebody on that episode. (Something tells me it's probably going to be Frank played by Judah Friedlander) No word on an air date as of yet but if I had to venture a guess maybe sometime in March or April right around Wrestlemania

Jesse Neal is finishing up with TNA Wrestling, according to the Wrestling Observer website. "Some things you just have to question but... then I again I don't give a f---. It's time for a new me and a change."

Neal followed up by writing: "If you want to book me I am free after this weekend, let me know. And trust me, you'll get your moneys worth."

--Regarding Jesse Neal's departure from TNA, a lot of the lesser experienced talent that isn't being used on a regular basis was asked to move to Louisville and train at the OVW school, similar to what a lot of the WWE talent on the main roster (Mason Ryan, Jinder Mahal, Ricardo Rodriguez and others) who still live and train at FCW.  Neal decided against making the move, and was let go.

Rock..Paper..Cena..Shoot

Posted by Paul Jordan on November 17, 2011 at 9:05 AM Comments comments (0)

It seems so long ago but really it was only seven months ago Valentine's Day to be exact when The Rock made his triumphant return to the WWE universe after a seven-year absence. Back then, everyone seemed to be electrified by the great ones return and couldn't wait to see him host Wrestlemania 27. For the six weeks that followed until the big show the three-way feud between John Cena, The Rock and the The Miz was pretty entertaining even if The Great One was bringing it via satellite. It gave us such pop-culture fixtures and trending topics such as Yabba Dabba Bitch and Fruity Pebble took the Twitter verse by storm. But the fun soon once we learned the main event for Miami a year in advance something that had never been done in the industry before. And while this sold quite a few tickets for Wrestlemania 28 it did not come without its problems. Fan soon realized that the Brahma bull was not coming back full-time and their is where the problem begins. How can you have a two-way feud when one person is not there and how you make John Cena and his battles before Rock not seeming less important I think unfortunately on those two fronts does far they have failed. On the other side of the coin you can't have them interact too much because that lessens the importance of the showdown on April 1. So realistically they really painted themselves into a corner. Taking this a step further the greatest fights of all time have two dynamic personalities with a bitter rivalry that transcends the boundaries of the sport and if I'm being deeply honest this seems pretty one-sided. Say what you want about of the attendance record of the man known as Dwayne Johnson still draws you in unlike Cena who feels very whitewashed and one-dimensional by the current creative climate in the WWE. It feels like John brings a water pistol to a duel at the OK Corral. He just seems outmatched in all ways it doesn't seem fair. Last time, the People's champion entered a WWE ring it was to further cement the records of still fledgling superstars at the time Randy Orton and Batista at Wrestlemania 20, so what's the payoff for this? Because this tag team match at Survivor Series seems to be doing wonders for the Awesome Truth in their push. If Rock wins the big showdown it further proves that today's superstars don't compare to the previous era and if Cena wins then it hurts Rock's credibility in anything going forward and really damages him when it comes to his aura. Looking at this information I understand why a lot of people resent this feud… On paper there's quite a lot wrong with it but if you remember there was a lot wrong with Rock/ Hogan at Wrestlemania 18 as well but we all know how iconic that match was. So here's hoping something good will come out of the train wreck.
